Disable Tamper Protection
Prevents installation scripts from automating setup.

Open Windows Security
Press Win key and search for Windows Security.

Go to Settings
Click on Virus & threat protection in the left menu.

Manage Settings
Under the "Virus & threat protection settings" section, click Manage settings.

Turn Off Tamper Protection
Scroll down to the Tamper Protection section and toggle the switch to Off.
This setting blocks scripts (like the ETT installer) from making changes to Defender. You MUST disable this for the installer to work correctly. You can re-enable it afterwards.
